We're on Channel 7 tonight, talking about Some Like It Hot.

As you may know, we recycle on behalf of owners.  That means we resell beautiful, good condition, label, designer and interesting and unusual mens/womenswear.  Leather bags and shoes, acessories/jewellery too. When the item sells, you take half.  Everybody wins!

I expect we'll be inundated with spring items, so just remember we're selective, folks - we only want your best pieces.  They must be freshly washed and in excellent condition.  No faulty items... reuse the fabric if you want to be eco friendly!

We price items around half of new.

And please make sure you tell your friends to visit us - we need buyers as much as sellers!

"Bill Cunningham New York"

Watched a doco last night about Bill Cunningham.  For many years he's been snapping street fashion around New York for the NY Times, as well as documenting what people are wearing at events.

He gets about on a bike, narrowly avoiding accidents!  He's not a great cyclist.  Melbournians would be interested to know he's had 28 bikes stolen so far; I think I'd give up after number five got nicked!

Bill photographs quirky people who have their own style.   His subjects bring creativity into their everyday lives through the way they dress.

Most people dress in a "cookie cutter" style.  They don't want to stand out; they want to fit in.  But are they missing out on having some fun and making life more interesting? The unusally dressed also give a city a vibe, making it feel more "happening."

Dressing stylishly takes guts.  After watching this doco, we decided that we want to be more outrageous in our dress.  Look out!

Spring has sprung!

Looking forward to spring? We're now taking spring stock and would love some great dresses and handbags. 

Looks like colour blocking's gonna be popular for younger women, so do take a look through your wardrobe for brights (skirts, dresses, tops) that's in great condition but not great on you, give it a wash, and bring it in!

I have customers wanting: size 8 Doc Martin shoes with yellow stitching showing, a knee length a-line skirt in blue denim size 10/12, some black RM Williams boots in a 10 or 11 with pointed toe and a low (not Cuban) heel, a simple large zipup men's leather jacket that's longer line with no external pockets, a Glomesh gold wallet with credit card slots and a double breasted vintage look (but contemporary OK) men's waistcoat in a medium... please BRING EM 'IN!!!

Al's not in as much at the mo' but he says hi, and that he misses our customers!

Happy Boot Girl

Just sold a cute wee girl a pair of big, big boots.  Platforms.  They've been here a while, so reduced to only $55.  She wanted some boots to replace her favourite worn out ones, and we just happened to have the right pair in the right size.  She was rapt, and so was her dad who was fitting the bill! 

I like my job.

Maxi skirts
